Tick Identification

Tick Identification

(excerpt from email dated 7/20/2017)

Lyme disease is nothing to take chances with. Virtualy every wildlife biologist that I know knows another biologist who had to retire because of Lyme. Not all black leg (or deer tick bites) have the bullseye rash. Symptoms may take 3 - 30 days to appear after the initial bite. I almost always wear long sleeves, nog pand and boots when in the field. I suppliment that with gaitors and bug spray. And still, I almost always find ticks inside my clothing. Check your selves well at shower time.

I was given the following attachment about ticks and found it to be one of the better sources of info.
